A BODY has been found amid the search for a man who went missing from Glasgow over two weeks ago.
Darren Pollock, 42, vanished from the Pollok area of the city last month.
He was last seen next to House for an Art Lover at Bellahouston Park on August 29 and around Braidcraft Road where it meets Corkerhill Road.
A massive search was launched for Darren as cops desperately tried to find him.
Officers became “extremely concerned” for him as the search effort continued, as he had no phone or access to money.
Police issued public appeals and CCTV footage in the hopes that someone had information on his whereabouts.
People were urged to check any security footage or dashcams to see if they could help cops find Darren.
Tragically, a man’s body was found on Coille-eughain Hill in Luss, Argyle and Bute, on Sunday morning.
The man has yet to be formally identified but police have informed Darren’s family.
The tragic discovery was made almost 60 miles away from where Darren was last seen.
Cops say the death is not being treated as suspicious as they continue to probe the tragedy.
A report will also be made to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.45am on Sunday, 15 September, 2024, we received a report the body of a man had been found on Coille-eughain Hill, Luss.
“Formal identification has still to take place however the family of 42-year-old Darren Pollock reported missing from Pollok, have been informed.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
“Enquiries remain ongoing.”
