A mum was stabbed to death in broad daylight – and her killer is still on the loose.
Sandie Butler, 40, was knifed repeatedly in a bloodbath attack in Townhead, Glasgow, on Tuesday before the murderer fled the scene.

The attack took place in front of dozens of overlooking flats in St Mungo’s Avenue and passing students for the nearby City of Glasgow College.
We can reveal Sandie is a mum of two primary school-aged girls and she also has a son aged 21.
She originally comes from Perth but also has links to nearby Pitlochry and Inverness.
A source said: “This was a targeted, merciless attack on a defenceless mum.
“She was stabbed several times before the attacker fled, leaving her bleeding to death.
“First responders tried everything including CPR to save her but she was too badly injured to survive.
“Whoever killed Sandie would be covered in her blood, such was the savagery of the assault.
“The murderer remains on the run which is very frightening for everyone here.”
PoliceScotland search teams with wooden sticks continued to search the area around where Sandie’s body was discovered in a carpark.
Tributes meanwhile began to flood in on social media following the news.
One friend wrote: “I’m so, so sorry to hear this. I’ll never forget the help you gave my sister, my thoughts are with your family and friends at this sad time.”
Another said: “So sad to hear this about poor Sandie, lovely person!”
A third added: “OMG no, not Sandie. She was such a lovely person, met her the day she came to Ness and kept in touch since.
“My heart breaks for you pet, RIP Sandie. Until we meet on other side.”
Detective Chief Inspector Lynsey Watters, of the Major Investigation Team, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and an extensive investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances surrounding this death.
“There remains an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything around the time of this incident to please contact police.
