A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged attempted murder in Paisley.
Emergency services raced to the scene at a property on George Street at around 11.55pm.


A 40-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was found unresponsive following the alleged incident.
He was treated at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow, for serious injuries.
Police confirmed the man remains in a “serious condition”.
A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the alleged attack.


Uniformed officers were spotted standing guard behind a large cordon, which blocked entry to one close.
A cop could be seen inside on the first-floor landing before a team in white forensics suits made their way onto the street.
A number of police cars and an unmarked van were also stationed outside the block of flats.
Cops have launched an appeal for extra information following the alleged attempted murder.


Detective Inspector Gordon Smith said: “Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone with any information which may assist with the investigation to get in touch.
“If you have doorbell cameras, private CCTV or a dashcam, please review your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.
“We would also like to speak to those who assisted officers in locating the injured man. If you have not spoken to officers yet, please contact us.”
