A WOMAN who was missing for six days has been found safe after police launched a frantic search.
Stephanie Bauld, 34, vanished on Sunday from the Coronation Place area of Gartcosh, Lanarkshire.
Officers this morning confirmed that she has been traced.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Stephanie Bauld, who was reported missing from Gartcosh, has been traced.
“Thank you to everyone who shared our appeal.”
Police urged anyone with information to get in touch as the search got underway.
Sergeant Stephen McBride said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Stephanie’s welfare and are appealing to anyone who may have seen her or knows of her whereabouts to come forward.”
The missing woman is described as white, around 5ft 6ins, of slim build, with long dark brown hair.
Stephanie has tattoos on both arms, including a distinctive skull design on her right forearm.
It is unclear what she was wearing on the day she went missing.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers are appealing for the public’s assistance to trace a 34-year-old woman missing from Gartcosh.
“Stephanie Bauld was last seen around 2am on Sunday, 23 March, in the Coronation Place area of the village and was reported missing to officers on Friday, 28 March.”
