A MAN is due to appear in court over an “assault” at January’s Old Firm clash at Ibrox.
The 23-year-old was arrested and charged by cops in connection with the alleged incident at the stadium.

He was later released on an undertaking by officers to appear at court.
The man is due to appear in the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
A PoliceScotland spokesperson said: “A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an assault at Ibrox Stadium during the Rangers and Celtic game on Thursday, 2 January, 2025.
“He has been released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
The New Year match ended with Rangers beating Celtic 3-0 on January 2.
Goals from Ianis Hagi, Robin Propper and Danilo sealed a rare derby win for the Light Blues.
The clash came just weeks after shocking scenes in Glasgow city centre where gangs of Old Firm ultras battled in the streets on December 15.
Bottles were thrown and screaming Christmas shoppers were forced to run for cover as masked thugs from the Green Brigade and Union Bears clashed.
The rival groups lobbed fireworks and other missiles at each other as cops raced to the scene.
A group of Rangers ultras also lobbed fireworks into a Celtic pub and smashed up windows.
Glasgow police commanders were forced to authorise rare special powers to allow frontline cops to tackle the violence.
The tough Section 60 stop and search powers included includes the ability to force someone to remove any item being used to conceal their identity.
They were in force across the city centre, parts of the south side and east end. It was even authorised in some parts of South Lanarkshire.
Up to 20 CCTV pictures were released after the violence in a bid to track down those involved.
