A WOMAN’S body has been found near a loch at a popular park.
Emergency services raced to Hogganfield Park in Glasgow‘s East End shortly before 4pm yesterday.
Officers have confirmed the 53-year-old’s death does not appear to be suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.45pm on Monday, February 3, 2025, the body of a 53-year-old woman was discovered at Hogganfield Loch, Glasgow.
“There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Elsewhere a frantic search has been launched for a Lanarkshire dad who has been missing for three days.
Stuart Wilson, 48, was last seen leaving his home in Motherwell’s Jerviston area shortly before 3am on Saturday and hasn’t been seen since.
A major search has been launched to find Stuart after his disappearance.
Cops have since revealed the dad may have travelled to Ayr around 4pm on the same day.
Officers said he may have been spotted at a Spar store and an Esso Garage on Hillfoot Road in the town.
Members of the public have been urged to keep their eyes peeled and report any information about his whereabouts to cops.
It is understood dedicated patrols are being deployed to find him, with officers in cars tasked with tracking him down.
A description was issued to help find him as searches enter their fourth day.
He is described as white Scottish, about 5’8″, slim build, brown eyes, and greying black hair.
