Police launched a frantic search to find her after she was last spotted in the Burnvale area of Livingston at around 8.30pm.

And now they have revealed that new CCTV footage has shown her last sighting.

Officers have said that Santra was spotted inside the Asda store at Almondvale, also in Livingston, on the day she went missing.

After previously being in the Burnvale area, she was seen inside the supermarket an hour later between 9.10pm and 9.45pm.

Police also revealed that Santra was seen leaving an address in Burnvale on Friday evening with a distinctive black and white shopper-style bag.

However, she did not have the bag when she entered the Asda store.

Cops are encouraging anyone who may have seen her, or anyone who may recognise her, to come forward.

Santra is described as being 5ft 6 inches tall, of Indian ethnicity, with short black hair.

She was also wearing a black jacket with a fur hood when she was last seen.

They are also hoping that someone may remember seeing Santra with the distinctive bag.

Santra’s friends and family have said that her disappearance is out of character and they are becoming increasingly worried for her safety.

She has had no contact with anyone since she went missing and concerns are growing over her sudden disappearance.

Inspector Alison Lawrie from Corstorphine Police Station said: “We now know that Santra picked up a black and white shopper-style bag from an address in Burnvale on Friday evening.

MISSING IN SCOTLAND

ALMOST 15,000 missing person reports are made to Police Scotland every single year.

Most of these cases involve medium-to-high-risk missing persons, however, many more go unreported.

In 2020-2021, half of these reports related to children, and 40 per cent involved a person who had been missing before.

Tragically, 117 cases over these years had fatal outcomes.

This was more than the number of victims involved in homicide across Scotland, which was 58, according to NCA UK Missing Persons data 2020-2021.

The data also found that most of the harm suffered by missing adults and Scotland is related to problems with mental health.

“But she did not have it when she entered the supermarket.

“The bag is distinctive and someone may remember seeing her carrying it.

“We are continuing to review CCTV footage and have released images of Santra from the supermarket in the hope that someone recognises her.

“Extensive enquiries are being carried out in an effort to trace her.

“If you have any information please contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3390 of Sunday, 15 December 2024.”
