A WOMAN has been arrested and charged over the alleged attempted murder and assault of a man found dead in a Scots flat.
James McMaster, 53, was discovered inside a property on Maxton Crescent in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, on December 5.

Emergency crews raced to the scene after the alarm was raised around 2.10pm.
Following his death, officers said they were treating his death as suspicious and launched a major probe following a post-mortem examination.
A 47-year-old woman has now been arrested and charged in connection with alleged attempted murder and assault.
She is due to appear at HamiltonSheriff Court tomorrow.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 47-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder and assault following the death of a man in Wishaw.
“James McMaster, aged 53, was found within a flat in Maxton Crescent in Wishaw on Thursday, 5 December, 2024.
“The woman is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday, 18 December, 2024.”
It comes after a 50-year-old man was arrested in connection with the alleged serious assault last week.
