POLICE have launched an investigation into the “unexplained” death of a man after his body was pulled from a house fire.
Emergency crews raced to the scene in Drumbeg, in the Highlands, yesterday afternoon.


The alarm was raised at around 4.20pm after a fire broke out at a home on Poldarroch Road in the remote village.
Firefighters attended the property, along with officers, and the blaze was put out.
A man’s body was tragically discovered within.
His next of kin have been made aware.
Cops have confirmed that they are treating the death as “unexplained”
And enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.20pm on Wednesday, 11 December, were called to a report of a fire at a property in Poldarroch Road, Drumbeg.
“Emergency services attended and the fire was put out by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
“The body of a man was found within and next of kin are aware.
“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
