A TOTAL of 20 plush SUVs were spray painted by eco yobs in a shock vandalism spree.
The Tyre Extinguishers group said they “decorated” motors in Edinburgh‘s Moray Place with graffiti and pictures of “climate and SUV crash victims” on Sunday night.

Residents in the heart of the capital’s New Town woke up to “These cars kill kids” and “Ban SUVs?” scrawled across their 4×4 vehicles.
Following the attacks, the eco group said on X: “The people who drive these Chelsea tractors have assumed it as their right to dominate our streets and poison our planet.”
Police confirmed that they received several reports of cars being vandalised on the street.
One resident told BBC Scotland News that her 17-year-old Range Rover was damaged in the attacks.
The mum-of-two said: “These guys are not activists, this is vandalism. They are vandalising people’s property.
“They don’t know why I have this vehicle.
“It’s not a new vehicle, it’s not flashy, it’s worth pennies and is old.”
The group posted a number of pictures on social media of their graffiti on plush motors.
They even uploaded a snap of two eco warriors in action with spray painting a car.
Pictures of dead children were also stuck to some cars along with the words “These cars kill children”.
Chief Inspector Mark Hamilton said: “We have received several reports of cars being vandalised in Moray Place, Edinburgh.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we would encourage members of the public to call us immediately if they see anyone acting suspiciously close to parked vehicles.”
It’s not the first time the group has targeted cars in the capital.
In 2022, around 100 4×4 vehicles had their tyres let down overnight as part of their targeted eco campaign.
