
A MAN has died following a late-night horror crash between a car and lorry outside Lockerbie.
Emergency services raced to the scene of the fatal road smash on the B7076 near the junction with the A709 Dumfries to Lockerbie Road on Tuesday.

Officers said they received the report of the incident involving a BMW 1 series and an articulated lorry at around 11.55pm.
A 23-year-old man, the driver of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the lorry, a 65-year-old man, did not require hospital treatment.
PoliceScotland said they are supporting the family of the crash victim as they launch a probe into the investigation.
Cops are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash to get in touch.
Drivers with dashcam footage from around the time of the incident have also been asked to come forward to assist the investigation.
Officers said they are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a red car travelling southbound on the B7076 prior to the crash.
Sergeant Colin Ramage said: “We are providing support to the family of the man who died as our enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of this crash.
“We would appeal to anyone who was driving on the B7076 around the time of crash, who either witnessed it take place or who has any information that may assist.
“Any driver with dashcam footage is asked to please contact us as soon as possible.
“We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a red car travelling southbound on the B7076 prior to the crash who may be able to assist with our investigation.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 4261 of 29 October.”
